Cultivating Kindness & Compassion Through Mindfulness and Gratitude (K-12)
Presenter: Kailey Lefko B.Sc. B.Ed. CYT and Co-founder of Educalme
Classrooms should be a safe space where all students are accepted, cared for and loved so that they feel comfortable taking risks in the learning process and therefore growing academically. Unfortunately, it can be a challenge to cultivate a classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves when students are unaccepting and unkind to one another.
In this full day workshop, you will learn how to cultivate kindness and compassion in your students through a mindfulness and gratitude practice. You will learn how to systematically create an empathetic culture and community where students feel seen, heard and supported and where they lift each other up in times of need.
You will leave the workshop with concrete strategies, tools and ready-to-use resources to teach mindfulness and gratitude in the classroom as a means to develop kindness and compassion in your students.
Stop the cycle of conflict and bullying in your classroom. Sign up for this workshop to gain the strategies and tools you need to create the kind and compassionate classroom culture you want to give your students.
When you register for this workshop, you have the option to include a year subscription to Educalme Classroom, our online, bilingual (English and French) classroom mindfulness program.
